How to make an online loan payment from an external account

You can easily transfer money from a checking or savings account at another credit union or bank to pay your Patelco loan. We’ll credit payments the same day if made before 3pm PT on a business day.

  1. Log in to Patelco Online™  or the Mobile App and select the TRANSFERS widget
  2. Follow the instructions to add your external account (it typically takes two or three business days to add a new account)
  3. Once your external account is added, use the TRANSFERS widget to make payments 24/7 
 

How to make an online loan payment from a Patelco account

You can easily transfer money from a Patelco checking or savings account to pay your Patelco loan. We’ll credit payments the same day if made before 3pm PT on a business day.

  1. Log in to Patelco Online™ or the Mobile App  
  2. Select the TRANSFERS widget
  3. Follow the instructions to transfer money from your Patelco checking or savings account to your loan 
 

How to make a loan payment by phone (assisted)

During our business hours, we can help you make a payment by phone using your Patelco account or an external account, for a $10 fee.

  1. Have your member number handy (it’s on your monthly statement, which is accessible in Patelco Online™)
  2. Call 800.358.8228 during our business hours
  3. From the main menu, follow the prompts for all other transactions

How to make a loan payment by phone (automated)

With automated payments by phone, you can make payments 24/7 with no fee – and we’ll credit payments the same day if made before 7pm PT.

Making phone payments from an external account

  1. Have your member number and 2-digit loan number handy (they’re on your monthly statement, which is accessible in Patelco Online™)
  2. Call 800.358.8228 anytime – phone payments are 24/7
  3. From the main menu, follow the prompts for phone payments
  4. Follow the instructions and provide the information for your external account (including routing number and full account number)

Find your Patelco member number and 2-digit loan number using the ACCOUNTS widget and the Statements tab in Patelco Online™.


Making phone payments from a Patelco account

  1.  Have your member number ready, then call 800.358.8228 and select option 4 from the main menu to talk to a Patelco team member and choose your PIN
  2. Once you’ve chosen your PIN, call 800.358.8228 anytime – phone payments are 24/7
  3. From the main menu, select 1 for balances, transfers, and recent activity
  4. Follow the instructions to access your account, including providing your Member Number and PIN
  5. When prompted, select Credit Card Payments or Loan Payments and then make a transfer using a Patelco checking or savings account to make a payment
 

How to make a loan payment in a branch

Visit one of our local branches to make a loan payment using your Patelco account, a check, or cash. We’ll credit your payment the same day.

How to make a loan payment by mail

We accept loan payments by mail via check. Follow the instructions included with your loan paperwork. If you’re not sure where to mail your loan payment, send us a message in Patelco Online™ using the MESSAGE CENTER widget. 

Make sure to include your member number and 2-digit loan suffix when mailing your payment by mail. These numbers are on your monthly statement – see them now by selecting the ACCOUNTS widget and then the Statements tab in Patelco Online™.

 

 

Loan Payment Q&A

We do not charge a fee for online ACH transfers. We do not charge a fee for making a phone payment using our automated phone system; payments made by talking to a Patelco team member by phone to manually create a transfer may result in a fee. Automated phone payments made before 7pm PT will post the same business day; automated phone payments made on weekends or after 7pm PT will post the next business day. Payments via transfer from an external account made online before 3pm PT will post the same business day; online transfers from an external account made on weekends or after 3pm PT will post the next business day. Initial setup of online transfers from an external account may take up to 3 business days; initial setup is required before ACH payments and/or transfers can be made. At this time, the TRANSFERS widget only accepts incoming ACH transfers. (Use the MONEYLINK-24 widget if you want to transfer money out of Patelco to an external account.)
