The free Patelco Auto Buying Service connects you with a team of industry experts and over 500 auto dealers to help you find the new or used vehicle (up to six model years old) of your choice, without you having to visit a single dealership or haggle for the best price. We'll get you the car you want, do all the negotiating for you, and in most cases we'll deliver it right to your home or office.

Yes – This service is only available to Patelco members. If you’re not yet a member, we encourage you to apply so you can take advantage of this exclusive service.
How long does the process take?
Whether you place your vehicle request by phone or online, you’ll get a quote within 24 hours, and in most cases, you’ll have your car within 2 business days.
Can I trade in my current vehicle?
Absolutely! Just give us a call and we’ll help you determine the value of your trade based on market conditions and the condition of your vehicle, advantages and disadvantages of selling privately, and compare trade-in values for your vehicle among multiple dealers so you can get the highest amount for your trade.
Will I sign all the paperwork at the dealership or can I have it delivered?
If your vehicle is delivered to you, the dealer will print the paperwork in advance and deliver it with the vehicle. Before you sign anything, you will have an opportunity to inspect, test drive, and review the operating features. Only when you’re satisfied with it, will you complete the paperwork. If you pick up the vehicle from the dealership, you can complete your transaction at the time of pick-up.
Do I have to finance my vehicle with Patelco to use the service?
Because the service itself does not provide financing options, you must choose to either finance the vehicle with Patelco or pay cash.
How will the dealership receive payment?
Once you receive your vehicle, your loan officer will complete your loan and we will mail the check to the dealer for you.
Will I be able to use an Auto Equity Loan if I use the service?
Yes. If you live in California, all you have to do is advise your loan representative that you would like your loan to be an Auto Equity Loan.
Does the Patelco Auto Buying Service come with Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI) or Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP)?
No, however you can sign up for these services separately.
What if I’m unhappy with my purchase? Are there any guarantees?
There is no “cooling off” period once you have signed for and accepted the vehicle. However, we will take all the steps to make sure your vehicle selection meets your needs -- From reviewing warranty options, providing car ratings by the EPA, Consumer Reports, and Intellichoice data, and giving you the opportunity to test drive and fully inspect the vehicle before signing the paperwork. We also locate new and used vehicles up to six model years old, so you will almost always have the ability to purchase an extended warranty, as many vehicles still have the remaining factory warranty, and some are even factory certified. We only contract with and shop at franchised dealerships.
What if the vehicle I purchase is delivered, and it’s damaged or not what I ordered?
No worries. If, when your vehicle is delivered, it isn’t exactly what you wanted, just tell the driver to turn around and go back to the dealership. We’ll keep looking and work with them on your behalf until we find exactly what you want.
Will my loan go through CUDL?
No. You will be working with us and only us throughout the entire will process. And because the vehicles are delivered to you in most cases, you won’t even have to deal with the finance department at the dealership.
