Patelco Credit Union taps Luis Echegoyen
as company spokesperson in an effort to
attract Bay Area Latino customers
(San Francisco, CA) - San Francisco-based Patelco Credit Union will launch a new Spanish-language multi-disciplinary campaign, targeting Bay Area Latinos, starting on November 5th for eight weeks.
As part of this effort, Luis Echegoyen, broadcast pioneer and long-time television news anchor of Univision in San Francisco (KDTV), has been hired to communicate the value of Patelco Credit Union and its new remittance product in a high impact, broad-reach radio effort. Point-of-sale, collateral, and events marketing efforts are said to support the campaign.

Specifically, Patelco Credit Union will be providing a more competitive remittance product called, Envios a Casa, in which it has partnered with more than 7,500 paying agents in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and other countries in Latin America. The remittance arrives in its destination in minutes, and is free of charge, as long as the member has a Patelco savings or checking account.
